CIRCULAR LIFTING MAGNET

CRYSTAL make Scrap Lifting Electro Magnet transports  steel scrap in scrap processing yards,steel industries and foundries.It can  handle tons of scrap continuously throughout the day. These Magnets are used  for loading of steel scrap, steel turning, Billets, boom, pig iron etc. from  trucks. these are also used to charge the furnace directly.

Technical Detail:

MAGNET BODY : The magnet body is designed to provide the most  efficient magnetic circuit, which keeps the magnet weight to minimum, whilst  without loss of performance making this the ideal magnet for attaching to the  mobile cranes in the scrap yard. The magnet body is fabricated from high  permeability low carbon steel for minimum leakage and maximum magnetic lifting  & holding efficiency with utmost toughness. Heat treated fully annealed  along with centre pole integrated outer pole terminal box and extra heavy duty  lifting lugs constitute parts of the unit. It is of sturdy construction and  equipped with bottom bumper plate of S.S./High Manganese Plate to withstand the  great impact caused by the heaviest/tough jobs/pieces.

CENTRE POLE : This is casted from high permeability low  carbon steel for minimum leakage and maximum lifting capacity.

BOTTOM BUMPING PLATE : The non magnetic wear resistant S.S/  High Manganese steel bumping plate sufficiently dimensioned to provide complete  coil protection.Bottom locking plate with square bar closely surrounds the  center pole which entire bottom face of magnet becomes effective for lifting.

COIL PACK : This is made from double fiber glass covered high  conductivity copper/aluminum strips with H class insulation and so designed to  withstand high temp during operation.The winding is insulated from the body and  assembled in the body keeps preview of protection of moisture.

TERMINAL BOX : The fully weather proof terminal box is  provided. The terminal box is sealed for superior moisture protection. It is  also provided with a metal clad plug and socket arrangement for easily  accessible for lead changing when we want to disconnect the magnet from the  crane.

LIFTING CHAIN :  The standard three legged alloy steel chain  sling grade 80 for maximum safety and life having I Mtrs length with common  bull ring has been designed to suit all normal duty loads as well as for extra  heavy lifting such as slab handling is provided.

DUTY CYCLE : The permissible cycles are 50%i.e.5 minute on and  5 minute off in 10 minutes. For extra heavy duty and for handling hot  materials, magnets are available on request.

OPERATING VOLTAGE: Rectified DC voltage of 220 Volts DC is  fed to the coil. this will be made available from a main supply of  415 V,3Ph.50 / 60 Hz. AC through a  transformer, rectifier housed in a control panel.

Elliptical Electro Magnets


We Produce world class Scrap Lifting Elliptical elctro Magnets. It is designed in an elliptical shape to enable entry into restricted or narrow spaces, as well as offer capability to life high loads. These magnets are being used where handling of large quantities of scrap are important such as handling scrap for large arc furnaces and induction furnaces from incoming vehicles carrying scraps. The coil is wound with aluminium or copper according to customer's specifications.

Water Immersed Magnet


This magnet is used for carrying the material in the water for mild steel plates and for shot blasting balls. Electro magnet are intended for under water work with metalic shot, scrap & other material. As scraps vary greatly in shape and other properties, this standard circular lifting magnet having a concentric circular magnetic-pole is most suited for scrap lifting opertations. The main coil of the underwater magnet is contained a water proof steel casing and fully insulated before fitted on the main casing to protect it from any water ingestion. Mostly, it use on standard re-handling cranes working on quay (area near sea ) side scrap loading duties, which are fitted under the grab on an extended chain to clean and retrieve scrap that has been dropped whilst loading. This method ensures the berth remains free from scrap steel contamination.

Coil Lifting Magnet


Coil lifting magnets devoted to handling Hot / Cold Rolled Steel Coils, These handle the hot coils from the production plant, finished steel coils from the warehouse of Re-cycling unit. By their sturdy design and conception they are perfectly suited to harsh environments. It brings to a remarkable spare in store space reducing also the damage on the coil due to traditional "C" hook and carried out by one operator with consequent cost reduction. Coil lifting magnets provides Handling of slit coils in a processing plant with total redundancy for maximum safety.

Over Brand Type Suspended Magnet (Electrical)


Suspension magnet  over brand is being  used when there is a high quantity of ferrous metals in conveyors flows, the materials on the conveyors pass under the over brand magnet and any ferrous metals are pooled by the strong magnetic field towards the magnet, this is then automatically cleaned to one side using the continuous moving belt, the ferrous metals will then drop hoppers  or positioned container. Mostly it used in thermal power plants, steel plants, sugar mills, cement plant, mines, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastic & glass industry etc. It is a safe guard of your expensive equipments.

They are used for recovering magnetic materials from, ore, steel mill slag etc. Magnets can be installed for belt widths ranging up to 2500 mm. It finished from electrolytic grade aluminum coil. Operating the electro magnet coil may be natural air cooled or oil cooled depending on customer preference.

ABOUT EPM MAGNET

Electro Permanent Magnetic FOR Billet  / STEEL PLATES and  COMPONENT Handling System.

Electro Permanent Magnetic  offered find high suitability for storing as well as unloading and handling of  billets, PLATES and SLAB. This system, is also suitable to be used in combination with Gantry, EOT and Mobile Cranes. The system comes with support of fixed spreader beam and allow for easy and convenient handling of single layer of material.

The magnet used is based on electro permanent nature that ensures consumption of electricity only during switching ON/ OFF operations.

ELECTRO MAGNETIC LIFTERS has served the industry since decades with one major draw back of safety. To increase safety proportion Battery backup are used, which we feel is old technology and really not 100 percent SAFE even with Battery Backup.These lifters are to be hanged from the spreader beam and power supply is given through Self Coiling Cable Reeling Drum and DC power supply is converted from Transformer Rectifier Set and fed to Lifting Magnets through Batteries.

RISK

If there is any Cable cut or Fuse BLOWN or any type of disconnection to the Magnet, or if Magnet coil is then there is no way to keep the Magnet ON and every chance of accident.

Suspension Magnet


These magnets are constructed using non deteriorating high power ceramic magnetic and require no wires or cables to operate as do electro type units. The suspension magnets are installed above open conveyors to clear the ferrous objects and fine granule, feedstuffs, dry chemicals and other particulates. The metallic parts are usually pulled out by the suspension magnets. We develop the same in different sizes matching to the width of the belt. It is back bone of continuous process Industries.  The magnet used in suspension in normally ceramic magnets or rare earth magnets which have the capability to lift the tramp-iron objects from the considerable distance. Comparing to electro magnets, these are less expensive to purchase, operate and are virtually moisture, corrosion and flame proof. These magnets are fitted with a set of adjustable alloy steel chains designed to suit application and attach to suspension lugs. We use Heavy Duty Steel Side Walls and life lugs and thick SS Face Plate to minimize the chances of damaging the magnets.

Over Brand Type Suspended Magnet (Permanent Magnet)


Over brand Magnetic Separator / Suspension Permanent Magnet are being designed in different configuration and sizes. Many facilities of our separators to protect machinery, such as crushers, cement plants, and mines. Magnetic Pulley


Magnetic Pulleys are mostly used as head pulleys in belt conveyor system to improve the purity of product and to protect the process equipment from tramp metal damage. The pulley provides continuous, effective removal of ferrous metal from the product flow.

These pulleys offer superior removal of ferrous small parts like nails, spikes, nuts, bolts, cans and steel and municipal recycling industries with maintenance free operation. Magnetic Separation Head Pulleys are a way of continuously removing and discharging tramp metal from the product flow for both product purification and materials separation.
